Transnational Solidarities ARAB 2006 coming this Spring 2022. Happening Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2:00-3:15 PM in 215 Phillips Hall. This course is approved for the Arabic Minor: students must register for 4 S.H. This class focuses on the tradition of solidarity between the Black and Palestinian movements.In this course we will explore the connections forged by intellectuals, activists, and political thinkers in the struggles against systems of colonialism, imperialism, capitalism, and state violence throughout the 20th century.Readings include works by Malcolm X; Angela Davis; Noura Erakat; Adom Getachew; Maha Nassar, and Michael Fischbach.
