  • Ash Pierce headshot slide. Mooring, Playwright. Ash is a senior theatre major at the University of Iowa! This is his third play staged in theatre B, previous titles including Strawberry Fields and OllyOxAlls. He is trapped in Margaritaville, but hopes people will enjoy the show from his Jimmy Buffett prison.
  • Alice Doherty headshot slide. Mooring, Director. Alice Doherty is a senior majoring in Theatre Arts with an emphasis on playwriting. Her work has been published here and there around town and on the internet. After a year long sabbatical researching homelessness and the influence of faith on sexuality and drug use in Salt Lake City, she’s stoked beyond measure to direct this play and is deeply, deeply grateful to everyone who helped her with the process.
  • Rose Moore headshot slide. Stage Manager. Rose Moore is a freshman at the University of Iowa, and has started the year off running by stage managing this stellar show!
  • Wade Hampton headshot slide. Mooring, Sound Designer. Wade is a senior theatre arts major at the university of Iowa, and boy is he doing a lot this semester. Outside of doing design work for Mooring, he is also directing the gallery Starfire, and is one of the playwrights for Six Performers in Search for an Ending later this year!
  • Dante Benjegerdes headshot slide. Mooring, Lighting Designer. Dante is a sophomore theatre arts major at the University of Iowa. His passion for light design is only rivaled by stage combat, and he’s ready to kick off the year with a pretty “lit” production!
  • Ashley Lapointe headshot slide. Mooring, Ellis. Ashley is a second-year studying theatre at the University of Iowa. Some of his recent roles include The Importance of Being Earnest (Lane/Merriman), Fire From the Heart of Man (Doctor/Professor/Father), Trocadero Rose (Ensemble), and The Polaris Dilemma (Seej/Bosun). All his thanks and love to his friends and family who support him!
  • Stella Nedved headshot slide. Mooring, Elli. Stella Nedved was born in Anchorage Alaska in 1989. Shortly after that, she moved to California. She has continued living the gypsy lifestyle, seldom staying in one place too long. She joined the military in 2009 at an attempt for college funding. After leaving the military in 2013, she began to study psychology. Having taken basic acting in the Summer, Stella enjoyed it enough to audition for the show.
  • Kasey Theil headshot slide. Mooring, Angelface. Kasey is a sophomore at the university studying English education and theatre arts. Previously she was in "Strawberry Fields" and "Girl: A Labyrinth Dark" at University of Iowa. She has also played Sally Bowles in "Cabaret", Poppy in "Noises Off", and Fiona in "Shrek The Musical". Outside of rehearsal, you can catch her working the box office at Hancher Auditorium or serving lattes at The Java House. Shout out to her parents, siblings, roomies, and homies.
  • Grace Sextro headshot slide. Mooring, Lovelace. Ever since being cast as Cindy Lou Hoo in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Grace has had a love for theatre. Recently Grace has played roles such as Alice from Alice and Wonderland, and Sharpay Evans in High School Musical Jr. She feels fortunate to work with others who share her love for the arts. Grace would like to thank her parents and her sister for always supporting her.
  • Austin Yerington headshot slide. Mooring, White. This is Austin Yerington’s first production at the University of Iowa. He is an English Creative Writing Major from Muscatine, Iowa. He has loved theater all his life and really hopes you enjoy the show.
  • JT Hooven headshot slide. Mooring, Greg. I'm not really sure what to add to my bio so I'll just include the basics. I'm a first year theater major, and I play Greg in Mooring by Ash Pierce. I have been a theater student since my freshman year in highschool and I have played in The Music Man twice! My hobbies include auditing, board games, saying really weird things casually and waiting for someone to notice that it wasn't actually part of the conversation.
