The university has a long history of honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthdate through its Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration of Human Rights. The 2022 celebration is a collaborative effort between the UI, city of Iowa City, and several community organizations. There will be virtual and in-person programming for the university and the community. The planning committee hopes that you will find some ways to engage with the Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration of Human Rights.
